The tweet hits the fans as film composers take over Twitter

Twitter has arguably become the largest internet phenomenon of, like, all-time. Everyone is flocking to the site to update the world on their moment-to-moment, day-to-day “status” updates. Naturally film composers, soundtrack labels and related industry riff-raff (yours included) have done the same. After all, these composers are human too. Just like us they buy the wrong shampoo, and when they Tweet about their shampoo hilarity, it’s like we’re all good friends! (Ironic LOL).
For a moment let’s imagine (and lighten up) that some heavy-hitting film composers let their guard down and really tweeted what was on their mind or making their lives hell. Here’s what they might say:
DavidArnold: I called Emmerich a “wanker”, but he went out and hired Wanker.
MGiacchino: Scoring a big-budget remake of an old TV show. It’s gonna be HUGE!
DannyElfman: #McG is McDead to me.
JohnTWilliams: Considering wearing my new black turtleneck today.
IntradaRecords: Our latest Richard Band release, limited to 19 copies, is already sold out.
BuySoundtrax: All orderrs placed after March, 2007… but befor July 2009- are now shiping.,
HansZimmer: Going to Air Lyndhurst to record 1 bar of cello chords. Be back in a week.
HenningLohner: Waiting to see if Hans needs me to finish any of his tweets.
ChristopherYoung: @SamRaimi – Did I mention I want to score “Spider-Man 4″?
ChristopherYoung: Outside Sam’s house. He loves surprise visits!
ChristopherYoung: @SamRaimi – sorry!
BrianTyler: Sav-on has hair gel on sale. Bonus!
HarryG-Williams: Bite me, Cinemusic.
ElliotGoldenthal: Mann called… He was talking, but I just turned down volume on phone and hummed music really loud… REVENGE!
JamesHorner: My favorite feature of Twitter is the re-tweet. So easy to tweet what’s already been tweeted.
SteveJablonsky: Michael Bay called me to his office. He showed me his collection of souls.
JohnBarry: Tweeting was done better in the ’60s.
JohnDebney: Prepping my ‘Aliens In The Attic’ Oscar “For Your Consideration” disc. Cross your fingers!
MarkMancina: ‘Speed’ was 15 god damned years ago? WTF!
RobertTownson: New master of Michael Tavera’s FROZEN ASSETS (1,000 copies) sounds great. Apocalyptic!
