LAT: Giacchino on ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Star Trek’
By Ryan KeaveneyMichael Giacchino spoke briefly with Todd Martens at The Envelope (the L.A. Times’ year-round look at film awards) about Mr. Giacchino’s upcoming Speed Racer and Star Trek scores. On Racer Giacchino said: “It will have an injection of feeling from the old show, but just on a bigger scale. I have every single score from Speed Racer. I found them in Japan on CD, and I love that music. I want to make sure there’s a thread to it, so this feels like it was born out of the show.”
